Garner Industries in Nebraska Tech Showcase

Garner Industries of Lincoln, Nebraska has been selected to be on the Nebraska Tech Showcase (NTS).  The Nebraska Tech Showcase is a new website featuring the capabilities of manufacturers, advanced technology, renewable energy and research scientists in the State of Nebraska.  NTS is a searchable public database which is being promoted to the Department of Defense (DOD) and prime contractors.  The purpose of NTS is to connect expertise in Nebraska with relevant DOD needs.  The website is http://www.vbasiliconprairie.com/nts/.   Funded by the Office of Naval Research, NTS was developed and is administered by Dawnbreaker of Rochester, NY and the Nebraska Business Development Center (NBDC).

The Nebraska Tech Showcase features researchers at University of Nebraska – Lincoln (UNL), University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC), University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO), and Creighton University.  It also highlights research and development firms, manufacturers and renewable energy producers throughout the State.  All entities featured have some special expertise of interested to the Department of Defense and their prime contractors.  The website will also be marketed regionally and used within the State to help connect researchers and businesses to facilitate technology development.  The website also highlights researchers at UNL, UNMC, UNO, Creighton , research and development firms and renewable energy sources.   NBDC consultants assist these companies, and help them connect with each other and the database.

Garner Industries was started in 1953 and is able to provide a wide range of machining, tooling and injection molding services for both government and commercial entities, specializing in short to medium production runs of metal and plastic parts.  Garner is a highly experienced parts contractor with extensive expertise in a broad range of materials, including most metals such as stainless steel, hastelloy, inconel, steel, aluminum, brass and many plastics.
